Robin Class Christmas

We have had a lovely last week celebrating Christmas at School, alongside our other learning.

Yesterday we showed of our acting and singing skills in our amazing performance on a real stage at Somervale. Our teachers were so proud of us!

We have brought home stockings we stitched toady filled with goodies our teachers have made with us, including wildlife friendly reindeer food ( no glitter!) snowman soup, tree decorations and candles. The Y1 team decided this would be a good alternative to Christmas gifts from them and the children really enjoyed making them.

This morning after our Celebration Assembly we had our class parties. We played Pass the Parcel and did lots of dancing.

Below are a few pictures of us.

All of the Y1 Team would like to wish all of our wonderful Robins and their lovely families a safe and happy Christmas, and say a big thank you for our generous gifts and cards.

Robin Class Visit Pampurred Pets

Last week Robin Class visited Pampurred Pets in Midsomer Norton.  We felt really sad about the way that George treated his pets in our class book ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine’ and so we decided to create some pet fact sheets for George.  We found out lots about guinea pigs in particular and all wrote a Big Write fact sheet for looking after guinea pigs on Wednesday.

Thank you to the pet shop and also our parent helpers.
