Skeletons to Snowmen

Another busy week in Robin Class. In Maths we have worked on 1 more and 1 less and all the maths language associated with it. We have solved some tricky problems using our knowledge.

In Science we looked a the different parts of a skeleton.

In Spellings we has a go at making our tricky words from Play Doh. It was fun and a few of us decided we might give it a go at home.

Christmas came early to Robin class as we started work on our Cauliflower Christmas cards. We used printing and collage- they will be coming home next week for you to send back in time to order prints for the big day!

Here are a few photos from our week.

Welcome to Robins 2017

Just a short post to welcome you and your lovely children to Year 1. They are all settling in amazingly and we are doing lots of learning and having lots of fun too.

A big thank you to all of you who attended the Year 1 Welcome Meeting yesterday- we hope you found it useful. As always, if you have any questions please come and see us.

Our class Reading Racetrack has really taken off- a lot of children are really zooming around, and it is lovely to see so much reading going on. Likewise with spelling- thanks for all the work you are doing at home to give your Robins the best start to life in Key Stage 1. It really does help them if the work we do in School is supported at home, and 10 minutes can make such a difference. Here are a few pictures from our first couple of weeks together.
